Sustainability

Art and nature are inseparable, each inspiring the other. With this connection at heart, every Siesta Sundays print is created with care for the environment, for local communities, and for the people involved in the process. The intention is to offer sustainable art prints that are long-lasting, thoughtfully made, and gentle on the world that inspires them.

Local & thoughtful production

Each artwork is produced in partnership with a small local print studio on the South East Coast of Australia. This close collaboration supports local creative businesses while keeping transport emissions low.

Prints are made to order, helping reduce overproduction and unnecessary waste so every piece is created with genuine purpose.

Premium quality, Made responsibly

High-quality materials and environmentally conscious choices come together to create prints that are both beautiful and thoughtfully made.

Pigment Inks

Archival giclée printing is used to produce each artwork, utilising water-based pigment inks known for their rich colour, depth, and fade resistance. These inks offer exceptional longevity while being a more eco-conscious option for fine art reproduction.

Cotton Rag Paper

Each print is produced on premium 280gsm fine art paper made from 100% cotton rag. This natural, fibre-based material is acid-free, plastic-binder-free, and can be safely recycled if needed. While cotton or paper production isn’t without environmental impact, cotton rag remains a durable, museum-grade choice that supports long-term preservation.

The paper is also OBA-free, allowing the artwork to retain its natural warmth and ensuring colour accuracy over time.

Packaging with purpose

Every order is packed by hand using carefully selected materials designed to protect the artwork while reducing environmental impact as much as possible.

  • Backing boards: 100% post-consumer recycled fibre, FSC certified, acid-free
  • Protective sleeves: Acid-free, moisture-resistant polypropylene; recyclable with soft plastics and reusable
  • Mailers & tubes: Mailers are fully recyclable. The current tubes include a plastic lid, preventing them from being recycled in full. A more sustainable, fully recyclable tube option is being actively sourced as part of our commitment to continual improvement.

Thoughtful packaging ensures each piece arrives safely and beautifully, ready to gift or frame.

Local suppliers & partnerships

All print and packaging suppliers are based in Australia, chosen for craftsmanship, transparency, and alignment with mindful production values. Working locally reduces transport emissions and supports small creative industries.

A practice of continual improvement
