Art and nature are inseparable, each inspiring the other. Every Siesta Sundays print and greeting card is created with care for the environment, local communities, and the people involved. Our intention is to offer beautiful, thoughtful pieces that are gentle on the world that inspires them.

Local & thoughtful production

We deliberately partner with Australian owned and operated print specialists who align with our slow, mindful production values.

  • Fine Art Prints: Each artwork is produced in partnership with a small local print studio on the South East Coast of Australia. This close collaboration supports local creative businesses while keeping transport emissions low.
  • The Card Collection: Printed within Australia in small, intentional batches using a collective printing model. By grouping print runs together, we drastically reduce setup energy, paper offcuts, and chemical waste compared to mass-produced alternatives.

High-quality materials and environmentally conscious choices come together to create prints and cards that are both beautiful and thoughtfully made.

Fine Art prints:

  • Giclée Ink: Our prints are produced using Archival Giclée printing, the museum grade standard for fine art reproduction. This process ensures your artwork remains UV resistant and vivid for 100+ years without fading.
  • Cotton Rag: Printed on premium 280gsm, 100% cotton rag. Made entirely from cotton fibres rather than wood pulp, it requires zero virgin trees. It is naturally acid, lignin, OBA and plastic binder free, permanently preserving the artwork's natural warmth and colour accuracy. While cotton farming is resource intensive regarding water use, choosing cotton rag adds no new demand to the environment. Instead, it resourcefully utilises premium agricultural byproducts left over from the textile industry to achieve museum-grade preservation.

The Card Collection:

Our greeting cards are designed with a gentle, fully circular life cycle in mind.

  • 100% Post Consumer Recycled Stock: Crafted entirely from repurposed waste, saving virgin trees and heavily reducing water and energy use. The result is a premium, beautifully textured recycled paper.
  • Eco-Friendly Inks: Printed using eco-conscious, non-toxic inks that deliver rich tonal depth. Because the card stock is completely uncoated, it is easily de-inked and highly recyclable. We recommend placing your cards in your standard household recycling bin to support a true circular economy.

Packaging with purpose

Every order is packed by hand using carefully selected materials designed to protect the artwork while reducing environmental impact as much as possible.

  • Greeting Card Packaging: Kept completely plastic free and shipped without individual plastic wraps.
  • Backing boards: 100% post-consumer recycled fibre, FSC certified, acid-free.
  • Protective sleeves (For Prints): Made from specialized, acid-free polypropylene to shield museum-grade artwork from humidity and fingerprints before framing. They are highly durable and perfect for reuse. If disposing, please check your local area's specific soft plastic recycling guidelines, as they cannot be recycled in standard household kerbside bins.
  • Mailers & tubes: Our mailers are fully recyclable. Mailing tubes can be recycled however not the plastic lids. We are looking into a fully recyclable tube option as part of our commitment to continual improvement.

All print and packaging suppliers are based in Australia, chosen for craftsmanship, transparency, and alignment with mindful production values. Working locally reduces transport emissions and supports small creative industries.
